You can store a 500 PPM solution in a plastic bottle as there is no degradation of the plastic. You can even store a higher PPM chlorine dioxide solution (2000 to 3000 PPM) in plastic – it will cause some discoloration at these higher concentrations, but it is not degrading the plastic.
An additional tip – I like to keep my 100 PPM spray bottle in the fridge because that both keeps it away from sunlight and improves the shelf-life of lower PPM solutions.
