For fish ponds, the concentration of chlorine dioxide should be maintained at a very low level to ensure the safety of the fish. Specifically, a concentration of 0.01 ppm is recommended.

To achieve this for 1,000 gallons, you’d use a third of a Safrax tablet. However, since the tablets cannot be divided directly, you’ll need to create a diluted solution first. Here’s how:

Dissolve 1 Safrax tablet in 32 oz (1 liter) of water. This will create a concentrated solution.
From this solution, use only 1/3 of the bottle (approximately 10.6 oz or 315 ml) to treat the 10,000-gallon pond, which will give you the desired concentration of about 0.01 ppm.
